Q: What is Badger Blockchain?

A: Badger Blockchain is the premier blockchain club at UW-Madison, where you can learn about topics ranging from NFT’s to VC investing to Solidity development!

Q: I would like to get involved in development, where do I start?

A: We hold weekly office hours on Sundays at Noon, and we are planning on starting development club meetings soon, including topics like auditing contracts and Solidity development - keep an eye out for that in #development-technical! Additionally, I’d recommend going through CryptoZombies, and following a tutorial by Alchemy to deploy your first Smart Contract on Ethereum.

Q: Will we ever get to see any Guest Speakers?

A: Yes! We have had many accomplished guest speakers in the past. For example, Elan Halpert, a Developer Experience Engineer at Alchemy, and Christian Kaczmarczyk, a Principal at Third Prime, and plan to have many more throughout the semester.

Q: Will we be creating any NFT’s?

A: We don’t have any plans for that currently, but you can discuss anything NFT related in the #nfts channel with fellow members of the club.
